Educational Opportunities

The Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration views its programs as providing both a general educational foundation in business and specialized degrees for specific vocations. A career in business often involves traditional functions such as operations management, marketing, or sales, but there is an increasing need for students with business majors to apply their skills in government, international commerce, health care, the arts, and non-profit organizations.

A business education focuses on developing analytical, problem solving skills. The faculty analyzes how businesses plan strategically and examines the role of leadership in organizations and then decides how best to manage people, resources and information. Business principles can serve as the backbone for economic, political, and social systems at all levels.

FUE Educational Philosophy

All faculties, including that of Commerce and Business Administration, embrace the university’s mission to “promote an atmosphere that values intellectual curiosity, the pursuit of knowledge, and academic freedom and integrity.” To achieve this mission, certain pillars of a Future University in Egypt education are embedded in the curriculum of all Faculties.
These competencies or “pillars of FUE education” include the following:
  • Critical Thinking: objective analysis and evaluation of information and concepts from multiple perspectives
  • Knowledge integration: application and synthesis of information and concepts from diverse disciplines
  • Effective communication: a strong facility in oral and written communications; use of visual resources and technology for communication
  • Social responsibility: respectful and civil treatment of others; active participation in civil and democratic institutions; protection of the environment and intelligent use of natural resources
Together with information literacy, the pillars prepare our graduates to be productive members of society who value lifelong learning
