At Future University in Egypt we believe that structured mentoring is an important requirement for our students to help them focus on their goals, to achieve a competent academic life, and for them to get help and support whenever they need it.
Mentoring is based on the concepts of trust, transparency, and confidentiality, between the mentors and mentees.

Mentees
-
Students under academic alert or on probation (below 2.0)
-
New students, who need to be introduced to university regulations and procedures and who need to be shown how to apply for help and give feedback.
Mentoring Procedures
Students with low GPA are monitored regularly throughout the term within the following guidelines:
-
They have regular advisory periods to ensure that they are enrolled in suitable courses for their level, to help them increase their GPA.
-
During the first four weeks of the term mentoring procedures will ensure that students are aware of their status and will listen to their problems, estimate what is needed for them to achieve the required GPA, offer guidance, and establish a mentoring plan for the term.
The mentoring unit must compassionately coordinate with any student concerning any problem related to the above and be willing to help put our students back on the right track.
The Mentoring unit team has a Facebook page that has reached 390 followers of FUE students.
