Future University in Egypt Honors Top Graduation Projects from the Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration

Future University in Egypt (FUE) proudly celebrated innovation, academic excellence, and outstanding student achievement during the Best Graduation Projects Awarding Ceremony, organized by the Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration. The event recognized exceptional graduation projects from five majors: Management Information Systems (MIS), Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources Management highlighting students whose innovative ideas addressed real world challenges through practical and impactful solutions.

The ceremony showcased projects that demonstrated the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), financial technology (FinTech), big data analytics, and emerging digital technologies across various business disciplines. Students presented research and digital solutions that reflected advanced analytical, technical, and strategic capabilities while applying the latest industry practices to solve contemporary business challenges.
Celebrating Excellence Beyond Graduation Projects
In addition to recognizing outstanding graduation projects, the ceremony honored the graduation project that won the FinYology Initiative, organized by the Central Bank of Egypt, in recognition of its exceptional innovation and contribution to financial technology and digital transformation.
The event also paid tribute to the most distinguished teaching assistants for their exceptional dedication, academic excellence, and valuable contributions to teaching and student success throughout the 2025-2026 academic year. This recognition reflects Future University in Egypt's commitment to celebrating excellence in both student achievement and academic service while fostering a culture of innovation, commitment, and continuous professional development.
Outstanding Finance Graduation Projects
Among the ceremony's highlights were three award-winning research projects from the Finance major, each tackling significant economic and investment challenges within the Egyptian context.
"Determinants of Financial Inclusion in Egypt: The Role of Consumer Perceived Financial Regulations, Technological Infrastructure, and the Mediating Role of Cultural Norms"
The project examined how Consumer Perceived Financial Regulations (CPFR) and Technological Infrastructure (TI) influence financial inclusion in Egypt, while investigating Cultural Norms (CN) as a mediating variable.
Using survey data collected from 142 respondents, the researchers conducted regression and mediation analyses employing the Delta Method and Percentile Bootstrap techniques. The findings revealed that both CPFR and TI have significant positive effects on financial inclusion, both directly and indirectly through Cultural Norms, which partially mediates these relationships.
One of the study's key contributions is identifying Consumer Perceived Financial Regulations as an underexplored determinant of financial inclusion while highlighting the important mediating role of cultural norms in the Egyptian context. The research offers practical guidance for policymakers seeking to enhance financial inclusion through integrated regulatory, technological, and social approaches.
Fear of Missing Out and Investment Behavior
The second recognized Finance project, "Fear of Missing Out and Its Impact on Investment Behavior Performance: Evidence from Egypt," explored the influence of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) on Speculative Investment Behavior (SIB) among 161 Egyptian retail investors.
Using sequential Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression, the study found that FOMO alone explained 24.5% of the variance in speculative investment behavior. When four psychological moderators Neuroticism, Extraversion, Herd Behavior, and Loss Aversion along with their interaction terms were incorporated into the model, the explanatory power increased to 49.5%.
The findings showed that Neuroticism, Extraversion, and particularly Herd Behavior strengthened the relationship between FOMO and speculative investment behavior, whereas Loss Aversion weakened it. The study also confirmed satisfactory reliability and validity of its measurement scales and contributed to extending behavioral finance theory within the Egyptian context while offering practical implications for investor education, financial literacy, and market regulation.
Behavioral Biases and Sustainable Investing
The third award-winning Finance project, "Analyzing How Behavioral Biases Influence Investing in Environmentally Sustainable Assets," investigated the relationship between behavioral biases and the adoption of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investments among Egyptian investors.
Using a purposive sample of 118 Egyptian investors and quantitative techniques—including descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and simple linear regression—during 2025–2026, the study examined the impact of loss aversion, overconfidence, and herd behavior on sustainable investment decisions.
The findings demonstrated a statistically significant positive relationship between behavioral biases and ESG investment adoption, with a moderate correlation (r = 0.394, p < 0.01). The regression model explained approximately 15.5% of the variance in ESG investment behavior. The research concluded that behavioral factors play a meaningful role in shaping sustainable investment decisions and emphasized the importance of increasing investor awareness and financial education to encourage ESG adoption in Egypt.

FUE Connect: Empowering FUE Through Connection
FUE Connect is a graduation project developed by Malak Moataz, Shahd Emad, Nada Osama, Masa Khaled, Hana Khaled, and Yassin Ahmed under the supervision of Dr. Hesham M. Elmasry.

The mobile application addresses a common challenge faced by university students, where internships, job opportunities, student clubs, volunteering activities, and campus events are often scattered across multiple social media groups and disconnected communication channels.

Built using Flutter and Firebase, FUE Connect brings all these opportunities together within a single platform. The application features a GPA-based matching tool that recommends internships and jobs based on each student's academic profile, in addition to real-time notifications and a live support chat to improve user engagement and accessibility.

During usability testing, students awarded the application an impressive 4.55 out of 5 rating, highlighting its ease of use and the convenience of accessing all campus opportunities from one centralized platform.
Maly+: AI-Powered Personal Finance Assistant for Egypt
Another distinguished MIS graduation project was Maly+, developed by Mohamed Ahmed Elsayed, Abdelrahman Ashraf, Ahd Elsayed, and Yara Amr under the supervision of Dr. Hesham M. Elmasry.

Designed specifically for Egyptian users, Maly+ is an AI powered personal finance application that helps users manage budgets, monitor spending, set savings goals, and track investments using the Egyptian Pound (EGP) addressing a gap left by many international finance applications that overlook local financial products and currency.

Its standout feature is an AI financial assistant powered by a locally hosted language model, enabling users to receive personalized, data-driven financial advice while ensuring that their financial information remains securely stored on their own devices.

The application achieved a System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 72.3, placing it above the industry average for usability and demonstrating its effectiveness in delivering a practical and user-friendly financial management experience.
Advancing Accounting Through Big Data Analytics
The ceremony also recognized outstanding research from the accounting major through the graduation project titled "Big Data Analytics and External Audit Quality: Quantitative Evidence from Egyptian Audit Firms."
The study investigated the impact of big data analytics, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and predictive analytics, on improving external audit quality.
Based on a survey of 113 Egyptian auditors analyzed using SPSS, the research concluded that adopting advanced analytical technologies significantly enhances the quality of external audits by improving the reliability of audit evidence, strengthening fraud detection capabilities, increasing audit efficiency, and supporting more informed professional judgments.
The findings underscore the growing role of digital technologies in transforming accounting and auditing practices while contributing to higher standards of audit quality within the Egyptian business environment.
