The main aim of this course is to develop a foundation of financial management concepts. After attending this course, students should be able to identify the main concepts of finance, the goal of finance and the managerial finance function, the legal forms of business organization, and the basic analytical tools that financial managers use. Students should be able to review the main financial statements to evaluate the performance of a company and analyze its financial position to identify and diagnose financial problems, and the cash flow statements as prepared from the company's financial statements and used to determine how cash flow is generated and how it is spent to help in developing the short-term and long-term financial plans.
